Hello, this is Adam Tarr. This is an update to the third page that has been created for the A+ Certification class for Park Center. This site was originally created by Anil Harbaran. A+ is a class that is centered around the building, maintaining, and troubleshooting of computers. In A+ we learn the basics of building a computer, being a technician in the real world such as troubleshooting, and fixing computers. You also get to learn how to install an operating system and put together a computer of your own. This class is very helpful if you plan on building your own computer, pursuing a career in computers, or if you just want to better understand how a computer works. Students will gain a high level of self confidence from this class. If it is a person's first experience working with computers in this class, they will learn that they are more able to work with a computer than they ever would have though. Being able to see yourself assemble a computer from scratch definitely gives you a sense of pride. With the skills learned in this class, you will be set to buy your own parts and assemble a powerful computer if you ever want to. Building your own computer is much more effective than buying one from companies such as Dell or Gateway, because when you assemble a computer yourself you know exactly what parts are being put in. Assembling your own computer always costs less money than buying a computer from a company of equal specifications as well. As many of us know, computers are becoming a very profitable business. This class is the perfect class to take as a first step into the very profitable business of computers. Who knows, maybe in the future you could become a computer tycoon, and you can put all of your thanks into this class for getting you started.
