Make-up/Late Work

Daily work and class projects are due on the days specified in class. NO CREDIT will be given for late assignments. If you are absent the day an assignment is due and the absence is excused, that assignment will be due immediately upon your return to school.

If you miss an assignment due to an absence from class that is excused, you have 5 days upon returning to school to complete the assignment to receive full credit. After 5 days the assignment is considered late and will not receive credit.

Grading Procedures

Grades will be based on a total point system. Grades will be as follows:

Tardies

Attendance in class is extremely important because this class is discussion oriented. Students must be on time to class. To be "on time" you must be inside the room when the bell rings. Tardiness counts as class “participation” and is worth ten percent of your grade.

Supplies Needed

• Notebook of filler paper for taking noted
• Pencil and eraser (no pens will be used!)
• Simple calculator (bring to class every day)

Student Behavior Expectations

• Do your best every day.
• Treat every person in the classroom respectfully.
• No food or drink will be allowed in the classroom (with the exception of water in a covered container). Be prepared to discard any food/beverage that you attempt to bring into the classroom.
• All assignments must be the original work of the student. Any assignments that are copied will be given the score of a zero. Any assignments you let someone copy from you will be given a score of zero.
• You must be in your seat from bell to bell. Do not line up at the door.
