The
purpose of this memorandum is to solicit applications for the 2009-10 ISD 279
Financial Involvement School Community Accountability Liaison (FISCAL) advisory
team. This team helps to shape the future for our students, families and
community by providing community-based input and feedback on school financial
issues. In addition to reviewing
financial data across ISD 279, the team is asked to advise the school district
on economic issues. The District 279 FISCAL Advisory Team has openings for up
to six new members. Members of this team
must have strong financial skills to advise administration and the school board
on education finance issues.
The
recruitment goal of the committee is to bring broad geographic representation
and diversity to the team. Our goal is
to have multiple perspectives represented in our work. We encourage people from all communities to
apply. Meetings will take place from 4
to 6 times throughout the school year beginning in late November. Please consider completing the enclosed
application and submit it by 4:30 p.m., November 10, 2009.
