This past June, Park Center had a little clean-up done to its front entrance along Brooklyn Boulevard. This came about thanks to Educational Support Professional Faye Goodwin and Business Manager Macky Knutson. They were looking for a good way to “spruce” up Park Center, and thought to give the project to the Boy Scouts. After making a few calls, Faye got in touch with a Scout Master. He was eager to receive the new project, and gave it to David Rozek, a Champlin Park Graduate in need of an Eagle Scout project. As part of his project, David organized a crew of workers to remove dead shrubs, plant new ones, and trim existing ones. The new shrubs were provided thanks to Bachman’s. The new mulch was given to us at a discount price from Fair's Nursery in Osseo. This discounted price can be accredited to Aaron Giles, a former PC student. All in all, the work took about 2 nights to complete thanks to the help of 15 volunteers.
