

Coach Patty Sorensen said, "Jamie creates and makes some unbelievable moves that result in either assists to her teammates or shots." Those types of comments and others from teammates suggests that Jamie was definitely not a ball-hog along the way to scoring all those points. Last year she scored a career high 38 points in one game, and is the leading scorer on her team this year.
In her interview, Jamie said that her grandfather is that one that got her interested in playing basketball, and that she first began playing in 2nd grade, and began her playing career at Park Center when she was in 9th grade. She also mentioned that her favorite memory from playing basketball was when she went to the section championships in 10th grade. Besides basketball, Jamie also plays soccer and golf.
After high school, Jamie plans to continue playing basketball for a Division II college. Some of the schools she's considering are Concordia, Southwest and the University of Minnesota-Crookston. If she keeps going at the pace she's at she is sure to be a great player in college as well. If you would like to see Jamie in action, here's a list of upcoming games:
