The musical Fiddler On The Roof was revived this year after a ten year absence from the Park Center stage. It was last performed in 1997. Saturday was the last performance of this year's Fiddler On The Roof and some of the cast members from 1997 came to watch. One of the cast members from the 10 years ago was young Jake Manders, or better known as Mr. Manders, now a teacher in the Art Department at Park Center. Here's what he had to say about this year's performance...

First Row from Left to Right: Justin Dinger- Motel; Emily Rolek (Ferber)- Chava; Beth Hadden-Villager; Matt Spindler-Villager & Bottle Dancer; Beth Stack-Villager; Jake Manders- Yussel & Bottle Dancer
Second Row from Left to Right: Mellissa Maranda- Set Crew; Melinda Benson-Orchestra (French Horn); Joel Vanderheyden- Fyedka

Mr. Manders: "When I was asked to compare some of the differences from this years’ musical to that of 1997s production, I honestly thought that the show we did was very similar to the Fiddler Performance of 2007. One of the major differences I noticed was that the open orchestra pit was closed. This helped the cast of 2007 work with a much larger stage.

The Bottle Dance this year was incredible, twice as many dancers this year than when we did it. We were all very impressed!! The Frumah Sara Scene this year was also very well done. The costume design and technical aspects of the scene was extremely well done.

This was an amazing trip down memory lane for me. Hopefully someday if PC ever does Fiddler on the Roof again, the cast of 2007 can make an appearance and live out the “Tradition.” Congratulations to the Cast and Crew for an amazing performance, not to mention Ms. Janke and Ms. Klug for all of their hard work!"
