Mr. Thompson
Our very own Marshall Thompson got married this past Spring Break. The ceremony was good, and he was glad it was finally over with and done. He and his wife honeymooned in Vancouver. They went to two Wild games in Vancouver. The Wild lost the first game, but won the second in a shootout. Being one of the few Wild fans cheering made the win all that much more enjoyable for Thompson. "The mountains were by far the best part of the honeymoon," said Thompson. On the way back from Vancouver they visited Seattle as well. But the one thing he really remembers about Canada, is that everyone calls you “buddy”.
Mike “Moke” Olson
He tried making a movie using expensive camera equipment, but failed. So, he instead began working on a claymation movie, building sets and things like that. His ideal vacation would be, as he says, “Naked. Really, really naked.” The weirdest thing he saw was Eric Carlson with a “Fu Manchu” beard, thrusting at Elliot Campbell. He slept most of the time
Andy Huynh
“I don’t speak English. I only know how to explain that I don’t know English, in English.” Ideal vacation: Ching chang chung. (translation: eat something other than rice) He normally spends spring break making egg rolls. Weirdest thing: At an anime convention, saw a very obese girl dressed like Rikku from Final Fantasy X-2, woofing down a hot dog and eating out of what looked like a bottle of lard….or ketchup…couldn’t tell. How much sleep: I’m Asian. We don’t sleep
Stephen Johnson
He drove down to Arizona to visit his brother. He had to drive for 28 hours there and back. He went rock climbing, hiked up a mountain, and got really bored. His ideal vacation would be going to Cancun, Mexico, or staying at home and throwing a week-long party. The weirdest thing he saw was a Hawaiian license plate.
Mike Egan
Mike Egan’s Saturday and Sunday was spent in Duluth at his sisters UMD dance “thingamabobber”. On Wednesday he jammed out with his band No Outlet, prepping for their next performance on April 22nd. For all interested the show is hosted by TCUnderground and will be at 7:00. The best part of his vacation was quitting his job at Davanni’s in Golden Valley… only to start working at the Davannis in Brooklyn Center.
Babatunde Oluwarotimi Diedrich Awoyinka
Babatunde Oluwarotimi Diedrich Awoyinka otherwise known as Timi, worked 6 hours everyday except Sunday at his dad’s apartments. With his free time he hung out with his friends, going to restaurants and other places. Also for one of the Extra Credit Opportunities in Mr. Brown’s class he went out to the rock at 45 degrees latitude in Minneapolis. Unfortunately, the plaque was stolen off of it
Mr. Brown
Mr. Brown was going to have an eventful week in California, until his wife got sick. Instead of traveling with the family to Cali like planned, he stayed home with his wife while the rest of his family went to Omaha, Nebraska. The peace, quiet, and relaxation was enough of a break for him to make up for missing out on California.

Mr. Lorentzen
Mr. Lorentzen also spent his weekend at home. His wasn’t as enjoyable as it usually is considering he is always traveling someplace exotic for spring break. Also the fact he picked up over 300 pieces of dog poop one day during his week off must have added a certain amount of displeasure to his break. One part that was enjoyable was going to his children’s school and having lunch with them. The lunch was cheese bread and the one thing that you naturally think of when you hear the word cheese bread…Fortune Cookies. Yes he had cheese bread and fortune cookies at lunch. For those wondering what his fortune read, “Someday your hard work will pay off”. I didn’t know Mr. Lorentzen ever did hard work, considering that he knows Bill Gates and all..

Taylor Simpson
Taylor Simpson visited Wisconsin Dells for part of her spring break. She stayed in a villa and watched quite a bit of TV. She had a driver’s lesson when she got back in Minnesota. On Wednesday she went to “She’s The Man” which was, in her opinion, kind of funny. Thursday she went to her Great Aunts and then went out shopping and to Build a Bear. Friday consisted of a nice enjoyable TV session. While Saturday was spent cleaning the house. To finish off the week, on Sunday she went to the Mall of America looking for Prom dresses.

Miranda Hanson
Miranda Hanson spent her spring break looking at colleges. She traveled 9 hours out and back to visit Madison’s campus. She stopped and dined at a Subway/Taco Bell joint and had a Tuna with Chipotle sauce sandwich ... Well, we did ask. She also visited possible houses to room at during college, one of the houses was full of crap…literally. Upon opening the door to the house the whole floor was covered in “Number 2”. Sounds appetizing…

Kelly Holmes
Kelly Holmes and her family drove down to Florida for spring break. It took 21 hours to get there and 21 hours to get all the way back. While in Florida she went golfing and managed to land one of her balls on the roof of the club house. She tried boogie-boarding and totally wiped out. Also, she went deep-sea fishing and saw some sharks. To top it all off she went on a Dolphin cruise and was lucky enough to see a baby dolphin. Besides the water activities she shopped quite a bit. In-between the shopping trips and the visits to the ocean, she and her family stayed in a nice condo.
