MULTIMEDIA SEARCHING

It is possible to look for information in various forms when searching on the Internet, for example, you could look for pictures, photographs, sound clips and even movies! In fact, there are even web sites that specialize in one type of media only, or multimedia on specific subjects.

In some ways, searching for multimedia is not different to searching for web sites - you simply type in keywords into the search box provided and press ENTER. However, the search engines looking for multimedia only are not always as clever as ordinary search engines. As a result, many of the tricks that we learnt to use when doing a keyword search may not work as effectively when searching for multimedia. So, don't be too taken aback if your search for multimedia comes up with some surprising and even weird results!
