DICTIONARIES
Dictionaries comes in all
shapes and forms, but the most common of these are language dictionaries. Some language
dictionaries translate words from one language to another, for example English to French,
German or Spanish. Other language dictionaries provide users with information such as the
meaning and pronunciation of specific words, synonyms (words that have the same meaning as
the word that you looked up), and much more. The online dictionary we'll be
exploring has
many exciting features - take time to explore some of them!

the Animals
Write down the numbers 1 - 6 down on a sheet
of paper, and then write down the following words next to each number:
- aquatic
- carnivorous
- marsupial
- primate
- reptile
- rodent
Use the Quick Look-up Dictionary to find the meanings of each of the words - take notes if you need to!
