NORTHERN EXPOSURE…….

If students are looking for a small liberal arts college, they shouldn’t just stop at the border but should look as far north as Canada for some good deals in post-secondary education!   It is worth noting that Canadian education is very affordable.  Canadian Universities are publicly funded and as such the total cost for tuition, fees, residence, meals and insurance is about $23,000 CDN per year (for U.S. citizens).

One Canadian university, Bishops Universite´, boasts a natural landscape and quality of life that is very similar to that in Vermont and their academic programming and rigorous standard and quality of education compare favorably with many of the most highly regarded liberal arts colleges and universities in the US Northeast.  What they are able to offer that others cannot, is the added advantage of an international experience.  Being an English university in a predominantly French province provides the students with great opportunities for a cultural and language immersion.  As well, they offer one of Canada’s best international exchange programs, allowing students to study abroad while earning credit toward their Bishop’s degree.  At Bishops’ , they are known for providing students personal attention, a supportive community, excellent faculty, diverse and flexible programs, a stunning and very safe campus and a beautiful surrounding area.
