Attention all students: Beginning September 20, we will be offering a Homework Center after school to assist you in completing your missing homework assignments.
If you have any missing assignments, your teachers will refer you to the Homework Center which will run on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays from 2:15 – 4:15 in the small computer lab in the Media Center. If you cannot attend after school, you are in luck as we will also be offering a Lunch Homework Center during your assigned lunch period.
If your teacher assigns you to the after-school Homework Center or administration assigns you to Lunch Homework Center, it is an invitation you can’t refuse.
Bottom line, Pirates: Get your homework done and turned in!!

Standards Based Grading Information This year, teachers in ISD 279 will begin a 3-year implementation plan for a Standards-Based Grading system. Standards-Based Grading helps ensure that student grades are meaningful, accurate, consistent & supportive of learning because grades are based on clearly defined concepts or skills students are expected to learn. The seven benchmarks attached are the areas of focus for the 2011-2012 school year. Parents & students will notice that these benchmarks are being incorporated into student report cards this year. Also, this will be the topic at our first Parent Advisory Council meeting on Wed., Oct. 12 at 6:30 p.m. in the Forum Room (during conferences). We hope to see you there!
