The goal of Park Center's music groups is to teach basic and advanced concepts of musical performance through preparation of quality repertoire. A maximum musical experience will be provided through quality rehearsal time, participation in concerts, contests and athletic events. In addition to performance, each of the groups will explore concepts of music history and theory through a number of different activities. Knowledge of these concepts is important to the individual and to the sound of the group as a whole.

NOTE: The success of our groups is dependent upon the "team" effort and not just individual gain. For this reason, our groups cannot afford fluctuation in membership. Registration for each of the performance groups is to be considered a full year commitment on the part of the student. Activities such as concerts and tours are a culmination of year-long efforts and the "team commitment" is expected from all members.

RENTING EQUIPMENT:

The school district owns some of the larger and more expensive instruments which may be rented for a nominal fee. The quantity is limited and all arrangements must be made through the directors. Rental fees are due the first few weeks of the school year.
