Classroom Learning Activities:

I strive to use a variety of learning activities that involve you as the student individually, with a partner, in small groups and as a whole class. We will use readings, the internet, library, guest speakers, and you as sources of information about fashion. Let’s get ready to learn from a variety of sources and each other!



Grades:

Are determined by:
1. Bi-weekly Participation Points
2. In -class assignments
3. Quizzes and Tests
4. Projects



Projects:

The major projects in class include:
1. A Fashion Journal
2. A Historical Fashion Project
3. A Fashion Designer Report
4. A Color Analysis Project
5. A Figure Analysis Project
6. A Design Project
7. A Final Project of your choice



Materials Needed:

1. A spiral or wireless single subject notebook for the Fashion Journal
2. A notebook with pockets and paper to store your assignments and notes
3. Colored pencils – get at least 24 in the package
4. Eraser – art gum or other type that erases well
5. A current Fashion magazine – In Style, Vogue, W, etc. (team up with a partner and each get a different one to use)
6. 5 - #2 lead pencils for various projects
7. A glue stick
8. Your own scissors
