What is Book Club?

• Book Club is school club.
• Book Club reads about six books per year.
• Book Club meets from 1:40 until 2:00 on Wednesdays.
• All the actual reading is done outside of the meeting time and the book is discussed during Book Club meeting time.
• Book Club also does things to promote reading like recommending titles for purchase, making posters for the library, posting reviews to the web page etc.
• At the end of the school year Book Club members who read at least two books will receive a Certificate of Participation.

Who can participate?

• Open to all OSH students who enjoy reading for pleasure.
• Staff members are invited to read each book too.
• Book Club is limited to 20 students. If more than 20 sign up a lottery will take place and a waiting list will be established.

When does Book Club meet?

• We will meet from 1:40-2:00 starting the first week in October (10/3/07)

Where does Book Club meet?

• We meet in the Library.

What books does the Book Club read?

• See the separate handout for the titles of books, descriptions and the reading schedule.

How do I sign up or learn more?

• Fill out the form below and turn it into the Library or just come to the first meeting on 10/3/07 at 1:40 in the Library.
