Applicants must be high school seniors who:
Maintain a cumulative grade point average
of 2.5 or higher (using 4.0 scale)
Work part-time a minimum of 10 hours per week
or 40 weeks per year
Are actively involved in community service activities
Demonstrate financial need
Plan to enroll in an accredited two/or four-year
college, university, or vocational/technical
school by Fall of the application year.
Please note: All applicants must be a U.S. or Canadian resident and may apply from public, private, vocational, technical,
parochial or alternate high school. Students DO NOT have to be employed at a BURGER KING® restaurant to be eligible for a
scholarship; however, BURGER KING® employees may be eligible.

Northwest Airlines Pilots' Wives Club awards two $1,800 scholarship that allow high school seniors and college freshman, sophomores and juniors to explore the field of cardiovascular research by working in a Minnesota research lab during the summer months.

The American Civil Liberties Union is offering 15 of the nation's most committed, young civil liberties activists $7,000 each toward their first year in college.
We are looking for students who have stood up for civil liberties, tolerance, free speech, and equality! Past scholarship winners were recognized for a wide variety of civil liberties activism including:
To qualify for the scholarship you must:
Have demonstrated a strong commitment to civil liberties through some form of activism
Be a high school senior planning on entering an accredited college or university as a full-time, degree-seeking student·
Have attained a cumulative GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale at the time of graduation
· Not be a current ACLU plaintiff or witness in a legal case To be considered for the ACLU Youth Activist Scholarship your local ACLU affiliate must nominate you for consideration. Please contact the Youth Scholarship Coordinator at the ACLU of Minnesota, Jana Kooren, 651-645-4097 x123, jkooren@aclu-mn.org at for details about the scholarship.
Jana Kooren will explain the application process to you in detail, ask you some questions about your involvement in civil liberties activism and, if you qualify, send you scholarship application forms and counsel you on how to proceed.
