Through a generous donation from an individual in our community MGSH will be awarding four scholarships to students in the graduating class of 2010.
One $5,000 scholarship & Two $2,500 scholarship -students pursuing a 4 year degree
$1,000 scholarship - students pursing a technical or community college degree.

Criteria: A complete personal statement (no longer than 500 words) which includes the following;
examples of where you applied concepts learned in school and/or other real life events, post high school goals, leadership, extra curricular activities, demonstration of need. Additional information is highly suggested: resume, transcript, and a letter of recommendation. Final candidates will be interviewed to determine the scholarship recipients.
Applications must be returned to CRC by 2:00 March 10, 2010.

Earn a $2,500 scholarship to each of the top five young men and top five young women in the country!

- Plymouth Rotary Club Scholarship
(3) $1,500 scholarship The scholarship will be awarded to high school seniors, who either live in the City of Plymouth, who have demonstrated leadership ability and desire to pursue further education. Student's must have 3.0 GPA, US citizenship, not be a direct descendant of an active Rotarian, demonstrate financial need.

(5) $1,000 Scholarships to Maple Grove Senior High seniors (3 scholarships to students attending Technical college in fall 2010 pursing a mechanical/electrical engineering degree or environmental program; 2 scholarship will be given to students attending a 4 yr pursing a mechanical/electrical engineering degree or environmental program)
Recipients of the award will be selected based on their leadership abilities, academic performance, career interest, work experience as well as financial need.

- Osseo Area Retired Educators' Scholarship
The scholarship of $1,500 will be presented to one graduating senior from each of the District 279 High Schools,who will be entering any college, university or technical college. Applicants must have a minimum GPA of 2.5

(2) $1,000 scholarships to be used for college or vocational education in Minnesota or states with reciprocity.

- Juliet Evans Nelson Scholarship for Outstanding Youth Volunteerism
Junior who is making a difference through volunteering has opportunity to be recognized with a $2,500 scholarship to be applied to post-secondary education and will be required to coordinate a United Way Caring Connection volunteer project with his or her school or community group during the 2010-2011 school year.
Eligibility be a high school junior 2009-2010, entering post-secondary education in 2011, live and volunteer in Anoka, Carver, Chisago, Dakota, Hennepin, Isanti, Ramsey, Scott or western Washington county.
