College Applications

The college application process will start in September and should be a priority with all seniors. A packet will be received by all seniors in Foundations regarding the application procedure this year at Maple Grove Senior High. Official transcripts for scholarships and college applications must be obtained and mailed directly by the Career Resource Center. We can not release official transcripts to students or parents.

Watch deadlines closely and allow A MINIMUM OF 7 WORKING DAYS BEFORE NOVEMBER 5, 2009 for your application to be processed in the CRC if complete. We will continue a first come, first serve basis after this date.

A large assortment of applications is available in the Career Resource Center and online applications are available on most university websites.

Scholarships

All scholarship information received by the CRC will be posted on our website under the scholarship icon on the left hand column. Paper copies will be available for most scholarships in the CRC however, to save paper we would prefer if scholarships are available online that you print them yourselves.

Transcript Fee

The following policy has been implemented at MGSH regarding transcripts. Upon your request, three transcripts will be sent. Any transcripts requested after the initial three will cost the student $3.00 extra per transcript to help cover the processing expense.

ACT/SAT Registration

Registration packets for the ACT Test are now available in the CRC. Registration may also be done online at: www.actstudent.org

The Maple Grove Senior High CEEB Code is 241-489

Currently, everything a students needs to register for the SAT can be found at www.collegeboard.org.

Students can also get free online resources to prepare for the test. In addition to the quick and easy access of registering online, students will receive immediate confirmation of their registration.

Seniors who are taking college entrance tests for the first time or re-taking the test should do so in October. This will insure that your results will be back in time to include them with your college application.
