District Staff Development
Committee
Purpose:
The District Staff Development Committee is responsible for:
1) Developing a staff development plan;
2) Assisting staff development teams in developing site plans; and
3) Evaluating staff development efforts at the system level.
4) Awarding Best Practices! Grants to ISD 279 staff
Composition:
Teachers on the committee are appointed by Education Minnesota-Osseo and are members of their respective site’s staff development team. Administrators are selected by the Assistant Superintendent for Leadership, Teaching and Learning. The ISD 279 Staff Development Specialist selects non-teaching staff. Parents are recruited by building principals.
Meetings:
The committee meets each Trimester, September through May.
