Zanewood Attendance Incentive Program has Guest Participant
Students at Zanewood Community School work hard each month by demonstrating good character. One way our kids demonstrate this is by having perfect attendance. Each month, classrooms that demonstrate excellent attendance get to place their homeroom teacher in a “teacher challenge.” These challenges range from hula-hoop contests to marshmallow eating competitions.
During our May celebration, we invited a guest from Osseo Senior High to help us with the teacher challenge. Kyle Moody, a senior goaltender, challenged 8 “highly qualified” teachers to score a goal. Dressed in his full hockey uniform, Kyle amazed the students and staff by stopping shot after shot during the contest. Amazingly, one teacher did score a goal and was crowned champion of May’s attendance incentive challenge. Kyle was a great sport and role model for our kids at Zanewood.
