We believe the Internet is a powerful educational tool, providing world-wide access to museums, libraries, news, events, and other useful resources. Internet access provides an exceptional opportunity for student inquiry, comprehensive information gathering, and world-wide communication.
Student Internet use at Zanewood Community School will be for educational use only. We have adopted the following student guidelines for acceptable use of the Internet:
Guidelines
- All students will receive instruction in the proper use of the Internet
- All students will review the "Student Agreement for Acceptable use of the Internet"
- All students are responsible for their actions on the Internet and subject to the consequences of school policy.
- Internet users will be expected to use the Internet as an educational resource. Students will not have access to the Internet for recreational browsing or "surfing the net"
- Most primary students will use the Internet with the classroom teachers or under the direct supervision of an adult.
- Intermediate student may have monitored access to Internet for approved independent study
