We are proud of our rich diversity of learners at Palmer Lake. Students are eager to learn, staff are committed to teaching in meaningful ways for the students, and parents support the school and their children in learning. We are proud of and value the relationships we have with each other.
Palmer Lake Elementary has several special programs in the building. Some of the special programs are:
Speech and Language, Full Service Special Education, Occupational Therapy, English as a Second Language
in grades 1-6, and Kidstop.
In the regular education program Palmer Lake offers: Student Council, Safety Patrol, Camp Read-a-Lot,
Student Store, Fun Squad, Math and Reading Labs, Peer Mediation, Mentoring through PALS, Running Club,
Future Problem Solving, Volunteer Coordinator, D.A.R.E., Chess Club, EXCEL Program, Read Naturally Lab,
CCC Lab, Read 180 Lab, Band, Orchestra, and Accelerated Reader.
Palmer Lake has additional staffing to meet the needs of students through these programs: Psychologist,
Skills Teachers, Paraprofessionals, Social Worker, Cultural Liaison and Counselor. Parents and community
volunteers are actively involved and enrich the programs of the school through thousands of hours of volunteer time.
