7/17/07 Food; Friend or Foe?

Can what we eat influence how we think, behave and develop? Absolutely!! More and more research is providing us with information that what we and our children eat, influences overall health. The role of food allergies and sensitivities play is more common than most think, but many of us do not realize that a allergy or sensitivity may be causing some of the symptoms or prevent us from obtaining optimal health and wellness. In this presentation, our speaker discusses what foods tend to cause symptoms such as gastrointestinal problems, skin problems and behavior problems. We will discuss gluten free and dairy free diets as well. Mark Norman is a graduate of the American Health Science University in Aurora Colorado and has been in private practice for over 13 years. He has worked with many practitioners in Minnesota and Wisconsin with offices in Shoreview MN and Hudson WI .

She will discuss how to ask for a school assessment, what to expect at an assessment review and what should be included in an Individual Education Plan (IEP). Discussion will include students from early childhood through graduation up to age 21. Leslie Laub is a licensed psychologist specializing in children and adolescents with behavioral challenges.
