Welcome to Kindergarten!
May-June
We can hardly believe the end of the year is approaching! We have enjoyed working with the children a great deal this year. They have grown in so many ways and made great progress with our skills.
We will continue to work on addition, subtraction and measurement in our math curriculum.
Our last reading themes are about exploring our environment and ocean life.
We have a few dates to share with you:
May 2 nd_Teacher Workshop Day_(No school for students)
May 6 th- Jellybean Day in Phy. Ed. class – students take part in a variety of games/activities.
May 7 th- Class picture day (more info. will be coming)
May 13 th- Underwater World will be visiting our classroom. This correlates with an upcoming reading theme.
May 15 th- Cedar Island Preview Night
May 20 th- Fieldtrip to the Brooklyn Park Historical Farm (dress for the weather)
May 27 th-Visit new schools
May 29- Ice Cream Social and Farewell
June 4 th- Last day of school for ½ day K
June 5 th- Last day of school for All day K
We want to thank you for all of your support this year. We hope to see many of you at Cedar Island in the fall.
