Student Learning Advocate
Primary Functions of Student Learning Advocate
Establish a cultural program to support students and families by teaching and using
facilitation, mediation, and advocacy skills in issues of diversity.
Create opportunities for students and families across the
District to come together for academic, extracurricular, fine arts, diversity,
and team building experiences.
Impact policies that support integrated schools and
neighborhoods.
Assist to raise the individual achievement level of our
lowest achieving students.
Recruit and retain teachers of color.
Make open enrollment within the District an option for
students eligible for free and reduced lunch by encouraging exploration of
options, visiting schools, and providing transportation within the District.
