Maud Hart Lovelace Award
The Maud Hart Lovelace Award is an annual award in Minnesota,
given to honor the best in children's literature. Maud Hart Lovelace
grew up in Mankato and wrote the Betsy-Tacy series of books.
Each year books are nominated and if the student reads a minimum
of three books, they are allowed to vote for their favorite in the
Spring. The votes are submitted and after being tallied, the winner
and honor books are announced in each of two divisions. The
Media Center has several copies of each title, but they are also
available through the public library.
