Morning announcements will never be the same!

“Channel Falcon” is airing live at Fair Oaks Elementary.

Students in grades 5 and 6 are now doing the morning announcements live from a T.V. studio in the school. Their broadcast is called “Channel Falcon.” These young broadcasters give students information that they need for the day, such as the lunch menu, weather forecast, and other school updates. In addition, these students relay positive character education messages for all to hear. For example on some days they may be talking about how to show respect for a classmate, on other days they may be discussing playground safety.

On top of delivering a great message for the school to start its day with, these students are also learning a lot about what it takes to do a T.V. broadcast. Each team is comprised of an executive producer, a camera and prop specialist, a person in charge of the control panel and computer, a scriptwriter, and 2 anchors. Teamwork is essential for an effective broadcast!
Great work “Channel Falcon!”
