Message From The Superintendent
Moving Forward Together
Our ISD 279 School Board voted March 11th to approve all but one of the recommendations to reduce next year’s operating budget by $16 million. In order to make their difficult decisions, board members listened carefully to concerns and ideas; spoke with experts throughout the metro area; and carefully considered immediate needs and long-term interests as outlined by our Strategic Plan.

OARE Scholarship Breakfast

Thank you for your contribution to the 2007 Scholarship Breakfast. It was a resounding success! We sold over 100 more tickets this year than last year and received donations of $1,085! More than 120 people volunteered their time and hard work for this event. Thanks to the orchestra students for getting up on a day off from classes to provide wonderful music for us. It was very enjoyable. It was great to see all the crafts, books, and paintings for sale that were created by students, staff, and retirees. People enjoyed connecting with friends they hadn’t seen for a while. Special recognition goes to Weaver Lake, Osseo Senior, Cedar Island and the Enrollment Center/ACHIEVE/CBVAT for the highest percentages of staff purchasing tickets.
