College Board recognizes District’s efforts to increase academic rigor
Student participation in college-level courses taught at ISD 279 senior high schools is up—way up, and the increase is garnering national attention.
The College Board recently recognized the Osseo Area Schools for its work in training nearly 200 educators to teach classes that prepare students to succeed in college-level Advanced Placement® (AP) courses.

Monarch Mania at Weaver Lake Elementary: A Science, Math & Technology School
Student entomologists at Weaver Lake Elementary: A Science, Math & Technology school will share the results of their intensive study of monarch butterflies at the fifth annual Monarch Fair, held November 6, from 6-8 p.m. at the school.
Monarch Fair is the culminating activity for eight weeks of monarch study in kindergarten through sixth grade. Every student has been studying the monarch’s change from egg to larva to chrysalis and eventual emergence as a butterfly. Each grade level has its own monarchs in every classroom, focusing on a different aspect of these incredible creatures.
