On November 6th there will be three questions on the ballot that affect property tax for our home and business owners. Staff members and parents are giving presentations to faculties, parent organizations, and civic and faith-based groups all around the eight communities that we are privileged to serve. Our presentation about the levy is shown daily on Educational Channel 21 in both a PowerPoint form and through a video. Detailed information will be included in October’s edition of Education 2007 which will be delivered by October 27. Other communication venues include the ISD 279 Web site, Osseo-Maple Grove Press, Brooklyn Park/Brooklyn Center Sun Post, Channel 12, school newsletters, weekly home/school envelopes, parent-teacher conferences, and other site events.
Because we care deeply about communication with all families in our diverse community, all of the materials are available in the top four languages spoken by our families: English, Spanish, Hmong, and Vietnamese.
Please take just nine minutes and view this video to begin your information journey or to make your journey more meaningful. I invite you to stay the course as we work together in achieving our mission to inspire and prepare ALL STUDENTS with the confidence, courage, and competence to achieve their dreams; contribute to community; and engage in a lifetime of learning.
