We are the team of integration and support specialists for District 279. We are excited to be a part of such an important, if at times overwhelming, movement in education. It is our common belief that technology should be integrated to support teaching and learning, not be what the teaching and learning is about. We look forward to working to promote District 279 mission.
Moodle is an open source course management system. It is designed to support blended learning, which means that much of the course content is also included on-line. This helps to create a community space for classes outside of the boundaries of the classroom and school day.

WordPress is an open source content management system, but most of time it has been used as a blog publishing application, which offers friendly user interface and agile customization ability. In ISD 279, our teachers and students use it as a tool/service for communication, learning enrichment and learning improvement.

The Osseo Area Schools is the first school district in the nation to pursue an ISTE Seal of Alignment. Lisa Sjogrenand others are working to align the C4 Professional Development offering to the NETS for Teachers. The NETS, formerly known as the National Educational Technology Standards, have been adopted or adapted across the country and many nations to guide school transition to the digital age. Lisa is working with a team of NETS experts to develop the offering so that it can earn a Seal of Alignment for Mastery, the highest level of recognition by ISTE. This recognition means that C4 will prepare Osseo’s teachers to meet the NETS for Teachers, making them well prepared for the rapid changes in technology, instruction, and learning environments.
